Life Skills Services > Resume Writing

In preparation to getting employment, many refugees/immigrants require help and assistance in fully portraying themselves in a resume.
I.C.S. staff work with clients to bring out their qualities to stand out and send their resume to future potential employers with confidence.
Writing a resume is hard work and it's important to get help, or at least have a resume reviewed, before sending it to employers. I.C.S. guides clients to writing effective resumes and cover letters. We insure to include worksheets, skills lists and have professional overall content and appearance.

A resume is a summary of your past and current education, experience, activities, and skills, and what employers will use most often to decide whether or not to interview you. Because employers can take just 5-10 seconds to look at your resume, Here are some of the things I.C.S. is dedicated to providing you with resume writing:

  1. highlights your accomplishments and qualifications
  2. is well-organized and easy-to-read
  3. is tailored to include the most relevant things to the position.

I.C.S. is a not for profit organization and does not provide a legal advice. If you receive government assistance our organization can help.
